Here you will find details about the groups and sessions offered each week. Also, information about the weekly yoga sessions offered free to HMP Bristol; the local Cat B mens prison.

Weekly Classes include:

​

• ​Didmarton Community Yoga Group starts on Mondays at 09:15​. These are held at Didmartion Village Hall

​​

• Thornbury Community Meditation Group starts on Mondays at 20:00. This Group meets in the Elton Room, The Chantry. There is access to this group via Zoom as well if you don't live locally.

• Thornbury Community Yoga Group starts on Thursdays at 19:30. This Group meets in the Coach Hall, The Chantry.​​​

​

• There are weekly workplace lunchtime yoga and meditation classes running throughout the week at Airbus, Rolls Royce and HMP Bristol

Update on the Prison Yoga @ HMP Bristol:

​Throughout 2025 Matt is continuning to volunteer weekly in HMP Bristol as a yoga & meditation teacher. As well as the regular faces each week we have seen new people every week willing to see if yoga is for them, and with it can help with a living through a custodial sentence 

​

The project has been running for over 3 years now and over 64 mats have been given out to men who have developed a regaulr self practice, outside of the weekly sessions. These mats are a gift that are given to the men to encourage them to keep practicing.

 

The mats are purchased via donations from supporters. Donations towards the mats can be made via the Prison Yoga page on this site.
